Why isn't my phone reading my GoBand™?
If you have an iPhone, make sure that you are tapping with the top, center of the phone. If you have an Android: 1) make sure your NFC is turned on. Check by going to phone settings and search for NFC & Payments, then turn it on. This should resolve your issue. 2) If you are still having issues, and your NFC is turned on, make sure the screen is unlocked, you are tapping on the center, back of your phone.
Do you have access to my payment accounts?
No. We don’t touch your money or store your login info. You simply link to your payment handles. You’re always in control.
Will people use this to tip me?
Yes! When you make tipping easier, people tip more. Tap Tip + Go removes friction — no extra downloads, just one tap to their preferred app. You'll likely get your first tips within days.
Can someone else use my GoBand™ and steal tips?
Nope. Your GoBand™ is linked to your Single Sign-On (SSO) through your Google or Apple device, which protects your unique profile and payment information. Only you can update it.
Does this work for my type of job?
If you rely on tips, yes. From valets to barbers, tour guides, and dog groomers — Tap Tip + Go works anywhere people want to say 'thanks.'
What if I forget to wear my GoBand™ to work?
Every GoBand™ includes a QR code. It's in your account management page. Just download your QR code to your photos or save it to your lock screen and your customers can scan it. The QR code will take your customers to your profile payment page just like your GoBand™ would.
What if I lose my GoBand™?
If you lose your GoBand™, you can use your QR code in the meantime. Please send us an email in the contact form below, and we will replace your GoBand™ at a discounted price, plus the cost of shipping.
What if someone’s phone doesn’t have NFC?
Every GoBand™ also includes a QR code. If tapping doesn’t work, scanning your QR code will. All smartphones can use at least one option.
I don’t get tipped often — is it still worth it?
Yes. Tap Tip + Go increases the frequency of tipping. Even one or two extra tips can cover the cost of your GoBand™. It's a low-risk way to earn more.
Is it hard to set up?
Setup takes less than 5 minutes. Tap the GoBand™, GoStand™, or Multi-User GoStand™ add your payment links, socials, contact info and you’re done. Check out our quick start guide here.
Isn’t it awkward to wear a GoBand™ to ask for tips?
Think of it less like asking and more like offering. The GoBand™ is subtle and provides your customers with an easy option to express their gratitude. Most users say tips go up, not down.
How do I access my Account Management page to make changes?
Log in to your Tap Tip + Go account at taptipandgo.com or tap your GoBand™/GoStand™ and go to the menu to the left of the logo at the top of the page. In the menu, click on the "Account Management" link and sign in. Once you are logged in to your account, you could toggle what share tabs (payments, contact, and socials) are active on your profile, download your backup QR code, copy your unique profile url to share, or scroll to the bottom of the account management page and click on the "Edit Profile" button to make changes to your account or update your profile picture.
